Justin & Emily's Wedding

Justin and Emily are just about the cutest couple around and they picked an incredible location for their wedding.  They were married at Stonebriar Country Club at sunset which made for beautiful colors in their photos.  Getting to know Emily…she LOVES colors…or just pink!  From shoes, to bridesmaids, to flowers, to tablecloths….there was a bit of pink!  Which just happens to be one of my favorite colors too!

We had a blast taking the bridal party photos.  Until we got in trouble for having the golf cart on the green…oops!  Sunset pictures are my absolute favorite so I kept stealing Steve Jobs favorite phrase, “One more thing!”

Justin and Emily met at Kohl’s when Justin hired Emily to work for him.  I guess he thought she was too cute to let go!   They just seem so natural when they are with each other.  No posing necessary!  Stand there and look cute were their instructions.  I am always amazed at people who are so photogenic.  There’s a reason I like to be behind the camera!

Justin and Emily trying really hard to cut the cake but it just wasn’t happening.  And then they realized the bottom of the cake was fake.  It is amazing how hard it is to cut Styrofoam!  We had a great laugh.  And the cake cutting ended in a cake fight!  Love it!!!

Getting ready for the bouquet and garter toss, the DJ instructed the guests to pose for the camera… kind of a bad idea when you have flowers flying toward your face…we had a bit of a mishap.

Jake & Christine's TCU Wedding

Christine and Jake had a beautiful June wedding at TCU in Robert Carr Chapel.  Can you guess their wedding colors?  Purple, Purple, Purple!  They are very proud to be Horned Frogs!

Christine and Jake met at TCU..technically online!  They had mutual friends so they became Facebook friends.  After several long conversations on chat, Jake asked Christine out for coffee.  Christine, being the planner that she is, made plans after their coffee “date” just incase it went bad!  Too bad it was amazing and she had to leave early.

The ceremony was so perfect it almost made me cry!  My favorite picture of all times is when the groom first sees his bride.  Jake could not hold back his tears.  And I don’t blame him because Christine looked absolutely STUNNING!  You could feel the love between them the entire ceremony.  Jake’s brother even had to comfort Jake as he read his vowels to Christine.  I was so happy to be a part of the making of this new family.

And then the party started!  Christine’s family being from NY and Jake’s family full of jokesters, I had some amazing reception photos.  If you are looking for a reception, I highly recommend Ashton Depot.  And hire me because I want to shoot there again!!!  The staff was so attentive to Jake and Christine’s needs (and you don’t see that a lot)!

Of course there was a bit of TCU flare at the reception.  The grooms cake was the spitting image of frog fountain.

The night ended with a final dance with just Jake and Christine as the guest lined up to light their sparklers.  Christine and Jake left in a vintage fully restored Corvette.  Thank you Christine and Jake for letting us be a part of your special day!  We are excited we still have your day afters photos coming!!!

Christine's Bridals

Christine is a trooper!  We did her bridals in April to escape having a heat stroke, but unfortunately we couldn’t escape the Texas wind!  I was amazed at how happy she looked in every single picture.  Her dress was absolutely beautiful and fit her perfectly.  She made an absolutly stunning bride a week ago at Robert Carr chapel and Ashton Depot.  The look on Jake’s face when he first saw her explained it all.  It almost made me tear up!

Cory & Jordan's Wedding

Cory and Jordan’s wedding was a very special wedding for me.  I mentored Cory in high school and saw her grow and transform to a beautiful woman and now wife!  Being a wedding photographer is so fun because you get to witness so many special moments from the engagement to the wedding day!

The wedding was at Marty Leonard chapel which is now one of my favorite locations.  The chapel is brilliantly painted in natural light, and since they don’t place any restrictions on photographers, I could get pictures from every angle!  Which was perfect for the romantic Cory, who wanted pictures capturing the look on Jordan’s face as she came into view.

The reception was at the Woman’s Club of Fort Worth, a venue charged with vintage charm. I loved the understated elegance of Mason Jars wrapped in lace filled with simple pink and white roses as centerpieces.  She is the ultimate crafty lady and made everything from metal trays with chalkboard paint for table signs, a Carter Reception plaque, vintage contrasting china plates for her candy display, and even all of the bouquets.  The Carters have some of the most eclectic friends!  I had to include the timeline of the bouquet and flower toss.  Check out the bridesmaid that gets hit in the head with the bouquet.  It broke apart so 2 girls got 1 flower.  I guess that means they are second and third in line for marriage!

When departing  the reception, they passed through a sea of guests waving streamers with bells attached shouting well wishes to the happy couple!

Jennie & Jhubin's Wedding

Jennie and Jhubin had a beautiful wedding at The Dallas Arboretum at sunset.  One of my favorite photos was of Jhubin’s face when he saw Jennie.  His jaw dropped!  If you look closely at his groomsmen faces, they’re also in awe.  Jennie had so much fun planning her wedding that she might start her own event planning business.  Her wedding was so beautiful that we would definitely recommend her!

Rachael & Chris are married!

My favorite thing about weddings are the small details.  From the flower girl throwing leaves to bridesmaids carrying lanterns, the wedding felt like fall!  Chris and Rachael’s personality showed in every detail.  They wanted to pray together before the wedding but didn’t want to see each other.  We had the privilege of being able to photograph it!
